Today I’m sharing THREE cute dresses that look good on any body shape, but that are also super accomodating for a new (and nursing mom).
One of the hardest adjustments for me during pregnancy and over the last 5 weeks has been seeing my body change so drastically and so quickly. While pregnant, I had to watch my body change to adjust to growing a human…. and now it’s changing again as I lose the “baby weight” while also producing food to keep that human alive.
I’ve been so blessed that I’ve already lost about 70% of the weight I gained during my pregnancy BUT of course my body shape is completely different than what it was before and that means I can’t wear a lot of my old clothing. My hips are wider, my chest is bigger, AND I didn’t exercise at ALL while pregnant, so I have very little muscle definition in my arms and legs.
I went on the hunt and found three dresses you can wear for different activities; fun, work, and relaxation.
FUN: Button Front Tiered Maxi Dress – $29.99
Who doesn’t love a good maxi dress? This look is perfect for a summer picnic or casual backyard BBQ. This dress has functional buttons but it’s also lightweight. The printed fabric screams “SUMMER” to me.
V-Neck Strappy Button Front Tiered Maxi Dress
This dress is extremely comfortable and I can see it transitioning well into early fall. It would pair well with a demin jacket and suede boots.
The dress runs a little large to me. I orginally ordered this dress in a size medium but had to exchange it for a small. This small is actually still a little big (and long) on me.

The last 9 months have been some of the most exciting for our family. In October we found out we were expecting and ever since, we have be preparing for little one’s arrival.
From the start we knew we wanted the gender to be a surprise. We felt that because so few things are kept secret anymore — we knew that waiting until the birth would be so special (we also kept our pregnancy off of social media). Although I found it very easy not knowing the gender of the baby, it did make planning for the baby and decorating for the nursery a little more difficult.
Our little baby GIRL, nicknamed “McFly”, is more sweet and beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
Her nursery is a perfect fit for her. I’m so excited to share her room with you. Most of our home has a very bohemian look and feel and I wanted to carry that same theme into the nursery. I wanted plants, baskets, rugs, and natural fibers. Continue reading →
As many of you know, my husband and I purchased a home about a year and a half ago. Slowly we’ve been upgrading, remodeling, and decorating.
Although kids are going back to school, we still have about a month and a half of the real summer season left. I figured there was no better time than now to get some furniture for our back deck.
Our deck is actually pretty big, and purchasing fancy deck furniture such as sofas, side tables, and picnic tables isn’t a priority right now. I did however want to add a little something to our huge deck.
