I’m so excited to share that I will be a guest participant in the Spring 2021 One Room Challenge! This is my second time as a guest participant in this biannual design event. For the fall 2020 event I transformed my laundry room (click HERE if you missed it) and I’m excited about the space that I plan to transform this round.
If you’re not familiar with the One Room Challenge, let me give you a brief overview. This is a design event where 20 featured designers transform a room over the course of 8 weeks. One of the coolest parts of this event is that ANYONE can join as a guest participant and transform their own space! CLICK HERE to stay up to date on the event.
So, get ready because the next 8 weeks are going to be fun! I will be partnering with a few brands as I completely makeover and transform a room!
The Room
Soooo…. I don’t want to keep you waiting any longer. The space I’m going to transform is…
My chidhood bedroom at my parents house!
This is going to be an exciting and a slightly emotional transformation becase this is the room I spent my tween and teen years in… and now It’s going to be a shared bedroom for my daughter and niece to stay in when they spend the night there!
I have so many memories in this room! Lots of homework, dreaming big dreams, playing guitar and singing my heart out. I’m excited that my daughter will now be able to make some fun memories in this room too!
The Design
I really want to make this a room that my daughter and niece are excited about, but also a room that will grow with them! They’re 4 years a part so I need a look that will be fun for a toddler and an kid. The beds and rug will be a tad dark, but I plan to brighten up therest of the space with a fun color scheme (pink, yellow, while, and turquoise).
This room transformation will include a paint project, some small DIYs, and a whole lot of decorating! I’m excited about this space and hope you follow allong in this journey.
Please know that these are my mood boards BUT this design and these products arent set in stone. I am very flexible so there’s always going to be room for change over the course of this transformation.
