The last 9 months have been some of the most exciting for our family. In October we found out we were expecting and ever since, we have be preparing for little one’s arrival.

From the start we knew we wanted the gender to be a surprise. We felt that because so few things are kept secret anymore — we knew that waiting until the birth would be so special (we also kept our pregnancy off of social media). Although I found it very easy not knowing the gender of the baby, it did make planning for the baby and decorating for the nursery a little more difficult.

Our little baby GIRL, nicknamed “McFly”, is more sweet and beautiful than I ever could have imagined. 

Her nursery is a perfect fit for her. I’m so excited to share her room with you.Most of our home has a very bohemian look and feel and I wanted to carry that same theme into the nursery. I wanted plants, baskets, rugs, and natural fibers.Most of the items came from Target, World Market, DaVinci Baby, TJ Maxx, and Amazon.

I’ve had my eyes on this french country mirror from Target for a while. It was the perfect finishing touch for the room.

 

 

People have mixed opintions about changing tables but we love it.I am obsessed with these baskets and use them to store wipes, diapers, blankets, toys, and nursing supplies.

 

 

 

 

The rocking chair and side table have already been put to good use.  I set my phone and water on the table for easy access. At night I use the google home hub to play music or white noise while I nurse in the rocking chair. I also diffuse essentail oils to help create a calm enviornment for me and baby.

 

 

I’ve never painted walls white before but knew that’s what I wanted to keep it as gender neutral as possible. We went with Behr’s “Night Blooming Jasmine” in a matte finish. Here’s a TIP for you. If you’re painting over a bright or deep color, be sure to prime your walls. We didn’t and it ended up taking 3 gallons of paint to completely cover the room (it should have only taken 1 gallon).
