The Corners of My Office

Happy Monday world! In my last post I talked a little bit about my inspired life. How I was starting to design/redecorate my home office. Well. It’s ALMOST done. I wanted to share with you the “corners” of my office. I still have some tweaks to make and a gallery wall to finish, but I wanted to share a bit of my life, and my home with you as it evolves. So… step into my office! (Links for items are at the bottom of this post).

There were actually two beginning stages of my office. The first stage was just the empty room that was in place when we moved in… a empty purple room.

From there… it became my “office” but really just more of a messy overflow storage room. But here’s the plot twist, we have an attic and a basement… this room did not need to be a messy storage room. We have plenty of space elsewhere to store our junk.

I am now happy to share my new office with you! I’m still trying out different things within the room and I’ve already switched out the curtains a few times but I’m happy with how the room is turning out.

I’m very inspired by contrasting colors, but I also like a little bit of an eclectic and boho look. I got a great deal on this desk top from World Market and attached it to some beautiful gold legs I found on Amazon.

I was able to pull in some of the boho and eclectic look with the plants and cowhide rug.

Right now I’m really in love with the corners of my room. I found these amazing book shelves at IKEA and I think they really added some modern flare to this edgy black look. They’re affordable, easy to assemble and have glass shelves that are a somewhat non traditional to most bookshelves.

I absolutely love this light blue pouf I found at T.J. Maxx for $39.99 It was actually the first item I purchased for my room and was the source of much of my inspiration.

As I mentioned. I’ve found a lot of inspiration in plants lately and I’ve actually made a point to have a minimum of one plant in each room. My office actually has 3 plants! I got one of these snake plants from IKEA and the other from Home Depot. Both of the pots/planters below came from T.J. Maxx.

I’m also a fan of quirky things so when I found this #Adulting desk plate, I had to have it! I love that it’s white and gold and blends into the decor and scheme of the room already. Also, as you might have noticed, my third plant is on my desk. The plant came from Home Depot and I found this beautiful brass pot at World Market!

I’ve also decided that as part of my house wide theme I wanted to incorporate some other fun aspects such as baskets, figurines, travel inspiration and a little technology. I found this beautiful basket at Hobby Lobby and got it for 50% off! Both the doggy figurine and the “100 places” poster were on sale at West Elm… and I’ll admit, this charcoal Google Home Mini has been the best “tech” addition for our home and for my office.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a the little bit of my office that I’ve been wanting to share with you! Of course I still have a few more things to do in the room

  • Find a cute office chair
  • Finish Gallery Wall
  • Buy higher quality office storage supplies
  • *Add more plants

Always know that any and all suggestions are welcome as I’m just getting started. I hope you enjoyed and I can’t wait to share more of my home, and life with you!
